AI workshop 2: machine learning
Saxion University of Applied Sciences organizes together with BOOST and TValley three workshops on Artificial Intelligence (AI). These workshops are interesting for you if you want to know more about the basics of AI: methodology, opportunities and requirements when using AI-technology. Nice to know: you don’t need any AI foreknowledge and you can easily attend online, for free!
Workshop 2: Machine learning
Date: June 4
Time: 09:00 – 12:00
In the second session, we focus on machine learning, currently the best-known branch of AI. Together we investigate which techniques can be used to analyze data and generate models that have predictive value. With accessible tools, we challenge you to practice with machine learning.
Workshop 3: Deep learning
Date: June 18
Time: 09:00 – 12:00
We deepdive into machine learning and highlight deep learning: a branch of sport that has made its mark with analyzing visual material. Practical examples explain how artificial neural networks can be used to recognize and track objects.
- The sessions are intended as basic training, so no prior knowledge is required regarding AI. Curiosity and technical insight will help to process the material, especially where the hands-on exercises are concerned. The explanation about AI is domain-independent, but the examples are derived from the technical industry.
- The sessions are held digitally, through Microsoft Teams. This only requires a recent browser or the official app. A limited number of places are available for registration in order to optimize the interaction between the organizers and participants. There are no costs associated with participation.
- The language of instruction for the three sessions is Dutch.
- You can register separately for each session, but it is recommended to attend all sessions, as they are closely linked and refer back.
These sessions are made possible by the Top-up subsidy for the RAAK SME project Data in Smart Industry, led by Saxion’s Ambient Intelligence research group.
